Here in the DGC we often receive requests for help from church and school choirs, music groups and even individuals who would like to expand their repertoire to include Gospel music. After a number of years of assisting such people on an ad hoc basis and through working with our friends in CYC, we are pleased to announce that, from this year we hope to further develop this side of the DGC’s ministry to serve the wider community in developing the burgeoning interest in Gospel Music in Ireland today.
So, if your choir or group would like to add a Gospel flavour to their work, or would like to take on more fully the Gospel way of doing things feel free to get in touch. Or perhaps you are a teacher that would like to bring the Choir to your school for a few classes with your pupils? Well we’d love to come along. (All our leaders have completed full Child Protection training with CYC.) This is an ideal opportunity for a music workshop for Transition Year students especially.
Workshops can be offered in both theory and practice, and we offer full days and weekends that can be tailored to suit your group. Prices are negotiable depending on venue, numbers in the group and the type of workshop desired. But imagine how you’d feel at the end of a day with us, having learned two or three new Gospel pieces and a few moves to go with them as well as a few insights into the spirit of Gospel Music?
